About institution

Riverside City College (RCC) began in the fall of 1916 as Riverside Junior College, originally an extension of Poly High School and the seventh community college to open in California. Over the years, the campus expanded significantly in 1924, 1965, and the early 2000s, eventually becoming the largest of the three colleges in the Riverside Community College District. Today, RCC serves more than 30,000 students annually and offers over 100 programs, including career certificates, associate degrees, university transfer pathways, and continuing education. Its top majors for international students include Business Math & Science, Liberal Arts/General Education, Computer Science, and Nursing. The college is dedicated to improving the social and economic mobility of its students by providing an inclusive, equity-focused learning environment and supporting each student’s goals. RCC has a strong reputation for career-focused education and is especially well known for its top-ranked Nursing program, as well as standout offerings in performing arts, culinary arts, automotive technology, cosmetology, and computer information systems.
