About institution

The University of Worcester was originally founded as a Teacher Training College in 1946, before being granted full university status in 2005. It is currently one of the fastest-growing universities in the UK and more than 10,000 undergraduate, postgraduate and part-time students are enrolled.  University of Worcester graduates continue to enjoy great employability prospects, with 15 out of 16 currently in work or continuing to study within six months of graduating. Worcester continues to excel in the subjects of Nursing and Midwifery, Psychology, Teacher Education and Sports Science, which recently benefitted from a newly opened 2,000-seat stadium. University of Worcester international and EU students benefit from airport pick-ups, induction seminars, career advice, social activities and much more during their first few weeks at Worcester. The help won’t end once enrolled though, and the International Student Office will continue to assist and support with any issues or advice which needs addressing.
