The objective of the course is to train economists who, with their theoretical and methodological knowledge, are capable of exploring the social dimensions of environmental problems, taking into account the interactions between social and natural systems, analysing social, cultural and ecological processes from an economic perspective, contributing to the formulation of global and regional development and environmental policies, strategies and programmes in a creative and innovative way, and cultivating economic geography, regional and environmental social sciences. The training will enable you to carry out independent analytical and planning tasks, to work in teams and to manage, analyse and conduct research on sustainable development in the academic, public and private sectors. Students will be introduced to the latest ICT solutions (VR, AR, MR, XR applications) of Metaverzum and their application in regional and environmental economics, which is unique in the European academic field of economics. Students are prepared to continue their studies in a doctoral programme.
