Prepare to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the development, documentation, and management of the sustainable built environment. Complete three full semesters of paid coop to refine your skills. Specialize in your final year of study in either design or construction management to refine your skill set in your area of interest. Program includes 3 co-operative education work terms. Attend multiple industry and networking events. You'll learn building design including architectural concepts, site planning and space planning. Green building, sustainability, and net-zero design. Building science, materials, construction techniques and detailing. Technical drawings and BIM (Building Information Modeling) using REVIT. Architectural History and general education. Structural design in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood, including mass timber. Mechanical and electrical building systems, including renewable energy. Construction economics, estimating and quantity surveying. Project management, facilities management, construction administration and project scheduling. Emerging technologies, including 3D Visualization, AI, virtual reality, and digital scanning.
