The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) may be completed in as few as two semesters and is designed specifically for students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms.
The AAP also gives you the benefit of English-language and student support that will help you thrive. The program curriculum offers a balance of university-wide and AAP-exclusive courses, with English-language course supplements that will equip you with the practical, subject-specific vocabulary and skills that you need to excel in your coursework. You may enter the program in the spring or fall and progress into year two of your undergraduate education with up to a full year’s worth of academic credits. Depending on your intended degree you may choose you elective courses in social sciences, humanities, or the sciences.
Computational science is a field in which computational simulation and modeling of systems are used to solve problems in engineering and natural and social sciences. Administered jointly within the College of Arts and Sciences by the Department of Computer Science and Department of Mathematics and Statistics, this program is recommended for students interested in a career in mathematical and computational techniques to solve problems and the use of these methods to advance other fields that require extensive computation and data analysis. Students in this program take foundation courses in mathematics and computer science and choose application areas including biology, chemistry, computer science, economics, environmental studies, finance, mathematics, physics, psychology, and statistics based on their interests.
