Alliant International University
A Master’s in Information Systems Technology (MSIST) prepares students to excel in the growing technology sector as a developer, product manager, web production specialist, or in another integral role. The graduate program nurtures student's critical thinking, increases science literacy, encourages innovation, and opens the door to opportunities in computer systems technologies from information analysts, programmers, software engineering, cybersecurity specialties, and others. With a bachelor’s degree, students are already seen as someone quite knowledgeable in the field, and earning a master’s degree will confirm and validate that the individual is indeed an subject matter expert in information systems technology. This, in turn, can open doors to new, more lucrative, opportunities in an organization and push students closer to achieving their career goals. As part of the MSIST program, students will have the opportunity to sharpen and exhibit their skills in the annual Hack Day team events, where students will be challenged to rapidly prototype, implement, and deploy innovative applications and programs. The products that students produce during the course of this hackathon can then be used to build their portfolio and illustrate their ability to work under pressure.
