Sociology is the study of social relations, associations, and institutions in human societies. It seeks to develop a reliable understanding of the nature of the social organization. Rooted in the tradition of C. Wright Mills, the study of sociology at Whittier College provides graduates with a solid liberal arts background for a broad variety of careers.
