Faculty equip you with an appreciation of civilizations, lives, and events – centuries ago and today – and teach you essential analytical and research skills to understand, identify, and evaluate historical developments, movements, and trends. You can tailor the degree to your own interests, like U.S. foreign relations or American history. You can also combine your history major with political science or secondary education to increase your marketability. As a history major, you will explore unique and fascinating worlds, eras, and cultures that ultimately shaped how we exist today.
