The department offers a four-year B.S. degree program for a major in biology and for a major in biology qualifying for the Secondary Collegiate Professional License. Students may not major in both biology and biotechnology.The department offers four-year B.A. and B.S. degree programs in biology. Requirements for the B.A. degree are met by adding the completion of an intermediate level foreign language and three credit hours in philosophy. The Biology Department provides outstanding educational opportunities for students through a comprehensive curriculum, scholarly activities, and community engagement that inspire learning, develop skills in critical thinking, communication, and ethical reasoning, and prepare them for successful careers.
