The Associate of Arts in Health Informatics and Information Management program is designed to aid in the transition to a Florida public university as a junior to complete a four-year Bachelor's degree in Accounting. At Valencia College, transfer plans are implemented in conjunction with articulation agreements with specific universities. The purpose of a transfer plan is to not only fulfill the requirements of a general Associate of Arts degree at Valencia College, but also to gain the fundamental knowledge and pre-requisites necessary for success in a public or private university (which count as elective credits for the Associate of Arts degree). The articulation agreement highlights that any student who graduates with an Associate of Arts Degree will be accepted to one of the twelve state universities as long as all grade requirements, pre-requisites and program-specific requirements are met - though admission into a desired school or program is not necessarily guaranteed.
