Explore and deepen your understanding of maternal and child health (MCH) as a specialty area within public health. Through graduate-level coursework, you’ll examine issues, outcomes, and disparities at various life course stages— providing you with the tools to analyze and develop policies, programs and initiatives to improve MCH. Over the course of the 12-credit program, you’ll have the flexibility to select courses tailored to your interests within MCH. A focus will be placed on disadvantaged and vulnerable populations, including children with special health care needs. Program of Study (12 credits). Required Course (3 credits) for Introduction to Maternal and Child Health and For your remaining 6 credits, you may choose from a list of designated electives that relate to maternal and child health (MCH). Your courses will encompass at least two different disciplines positioning you to work effectively with colleagues across many sectors.
