A Bachelor of Architecture takes five years. The core of University of Tennessee's curriculum is the studio, where students learn to explore and generate design ideas. In the first year, the program begins with a focus on design fundamentals, moving through conceptual, abstract and experimental exercises to strip away preconceived ideas. The first two studios are shared with first-year Interior Architecture students. A Bachelor of Architecture is a fully accredited professional degree that will prepare students to become licensed architects. UT's graduates can be found working in top firms nationwide.
