Are you a visual storyteller with a keen interest in learning how to write, direct and produce cinematic masterpieces? As a Film Production graduate, you work on sets, at production houses and in editing rooms across Canada and around the world. The Advanced Diploma in Broadcasting – Radio, Television and Film (Film Production) at Niagara College is a three-year, full-time program delivered at the Welland Campus. It provides students with practical, hands-on training in all aspects of filmmaking, including writing, directing, cinematography, lighting, sound, editing, and production management. Throughout the program, students work with industry-standard equipment in studios, editing suites, and production labs, while building a professional portfolio that may include short films, documentaries, music videos, and other creative projects. The curriculum progresses from foundational courses in production tools, storytelling, and studio techniques in the first year, to advanced training in cinematography, editing, directing, and project management in the second and third years, culminating in a capstone film production project.
