As a General Machinist, you will have the ability to set up and operate a wide variety of precision metal cutting and grinding machines utilized in this growing sector of specialty machining industries.Students gain hands-on experience operating lathes, milling machines, grinders, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines, as well as learning about machining processes, materials, and quality control. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles as machinist apprentices, machine operators, or manufacturing assistants in industries such as automotive, aerospace, tool and die, and general manufacturing, with opportunities to continue into advanced apprenticeship or diploma programs.
