As a Civil Engineering Technician, you play an important role in the design and construction of buildings, bridges, highways, dams, drainage and irrigation systems, streets, parks, subdivisions, and water supply and sewer systems.The Diploma in Civil Engineering Technician at Niagara College is a two-year program that prepares students to support the design, planning, and construction of essential infrastructure such as highways, bridges, buildings, water systems, and drainage networks. Through a mix of classroom learning and hands-on training, students develop skills in computer-aided drafting (CAD), surveying, materials testing, structural design, soil mechanics, project management, and construction estimating.
