An Advanced Diploma in Midwifery is a specialised programme designed for registered nurses. This programme aims to provide advanced training and skills specific to midwifery, focusing on the care of women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical training. Students will experience clinical rotations in hospitals, birthing centres and community settings to gain hands-on experience under supervision. The programme covers topics such as pharmacology in obstetrics, advanced maternal-fetal medicine, neonatal care and reproductive during pregnancy and childbirth. Students will gain specialised knowledge by learning advanced clinical skills related to prenatal care, labour and delivery and postpartum care. This includes managing complications during childbirth and providing care to both the mother and the newborn.
