Sustainability is one of the major driving forces in the early 21st century. This degree will enable you to develop an understanding of how commercial decisions and actions can be made in a manner that preserves and enhances both land-based resources and well-being.It integrates environmental, social and economic pillars in a coherent and workable relationship reflecting stewardship of the planet, protecting and enhancing not only the environment but the well-being, social, and cultural elements of people, while returning a fair and equitable profit to individuals, organisations and the community.The Bachelor of Commerce (Sustainability) will present a bicultural perspective to recognise both the history and future of sustainability in Aotearoa New Zealand.This is a highly prescribed course and students need to complete the compulsory courses in the order recommended to succeed.You will acquire a foundation in modern sustainability concepts, perspectives, and issues coupled with a sound understanding of value creation and general commercial activity in a land-based context.
