Bachelor of Arts in Accounting

This program prepares students for rewarding careers in accountancy. Accounting is the process of measuring, summarizing, and communicating financial information about organizations to decision-makers. In the first third of the undergraduate degree, students learn how to prepare, summarize, and analyze the accounting database. In the second third of the undergraduate degree, students broaden their knowledge of business by taking courses in management, marketing, finance, and economics. The last third of the undergraduate degree provides students with more specialized knowledge of financial accounting, management/cost accounting, business law, accounting information systems, auditing, and taxation. Students also develop their skills in communication, ethics, and quantitative methods.
