Aircraft mechanics are in high demand around the world. With Southern Utah University students can become an aircraft mechanic (also known as A&P Mechanic or Aircraft Maintenance Technician) in under two years. Southern Utah University’s program is currently the most up-to-date in the country because it is based on upcoming brand new standards and FAA regulations. Southern Utah University is one of the only, if not the only, schools to offer helicopter maintenance as part of the standard curriculum at no additional cost. Helicopter maintenance is a bit more advanced than airplane maintenance and gives graduates an edge in competing for jobs.
