There is much more to sports than playing on the field. The Sports Management program will pair your interest in management with a passion for sports. It will help prepare you for the many career paths that support a growing multi-billion dollar and global industry. As the industry grows, so will the need for people to fill valuable roles, such as sports account managers, sports marketers, and athletics directors. These roles are necessary to manage professional teams and arenas at the collegiate and professional levels. You’ll be introduced to the management and leadership techniques specifically needed to manage the business side of sports, from youth activities to amateur sports to collegiate and professional teams. Also, you’ll learn about the societal and economic challenges related to sports activities and gain the tools needed to lead change within the industry.
