Nursing is not only a science — it’s an art. At Elmira, our Nursing degree program students are driven to achieve their goals and are passionate about caring for others. At EC, you'll complete rigorous academic coursework to enhance critical-thinking and clinical-reasoning skills. You'll apply what you learn in class in our state-of-the-art simulation labs. Beyond the classroom, you’ll gain clinical experience as early as sophomore year to build hands-on learning and prepare you for real-world problem-solving. As an Elmira College Nursing student, you’ll learn theories and concepts from humanities to the natural, social, and nursing sciences that will prepare you as a versatile and ethical health care professional. Learn how to use evidence-based findings to improve quality-of-care while gaining the information management and technology skills needed in today’s health care settings. EC will prepare you as a leader and a collaborator who can work with others to improve health care outcomes for individuals and communities, as well as a lifelong learner.
