The School of Political Studies offers graduate programs leading to the Graduate Diploma in Public Management and Governance, and to the degrees of Master of Arts (MA) and PhD in Political Science. The MA program is offered both full- and part-time whereas the PhD program is offered full-time only. The programs are offered in French and English. Three options are available for the MA: the MA with thesis, the MA with research paper and the MA with research paper and coop option. The graduate program also offers a Microprogram in Survey Research and Public Opinion to professionals. Students already admitted into the Master or Ph.D. programs in Political Science or Public Administration can complete the microprogram on an optional basis and have these credits count towards the program requirements in view of obtaining their degree (students registered in Public Administration need the approval of the Supervisor of the M.A. and Doctoral studies in Public Administration before enrolling in the microprogram). The completion of the microprogram will be mentioned in their transcript.
