Chemical Engineering draws upon fundamentals of chemistry, physics, biology, and math to analyze and design processes. Chemical Engineers work in a variety of fields including the energy, medicine, food, microelectronics, biotechnology, environmental, and manufacturing industries. The B.S. in Chemical Engineering is accredited by ABET and provides a path to P.E. licensure. The Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering program focuses on the design, optimization, and operation of processes that convert raw materials into valuable products. Students study chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, process design, and materials science, preparing for careers in pharmaceuticals, energy, and environmental engineering.
