CPC30620 – Certificate III in Painting and Decorating is the nationally recognised qualification for painters. You will gain essential background knowledge in the processes, materials, tools and equipment used in the painting and decorating industry. Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement. Training is conducted in a face to face/classroom based environment, practical skills training in a simulated environment and 492 hours of work based training (WBT) component to enable the students to gain experience operating in the painting and decorating sector. Student/s will be placed in the workplace to completed Work Based Training (WBT) component of the course. The expected completion duration of this course is 94 Weeks (including70 weeks of study and 24 weeks of holiday) on a full time basis, minimum 20 Contact Hours per week.
