This pathway is designed to meet Associate of Arts degree requirements with a concentration in Economics. Are you interested in concepts like supply and demand? Are you curious about human behavior? Do you enjoy working with numbers? If yes, then a degree in economics could be a good fit for you. This pre-major pathway prepares you to transfer at the 3rd year level to a four-year college to earn a bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, or another business-related field. In this pathway, you’ll study how people’s choices to satisfy their wants affect the consumption, production and trade of scarce resources. You’ll study topics such as inflation, taxes, pricing, employment, poverty, and capitalism. You'll also gain a theoretical framework to explain choices and behavior that can also be successfully applied to other areas of study.
