For lawyers who want to refocus their legal career, develop an expertise in a substantive area, or update their professional credentials, a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from WashU Law may be a perfect fit.WashU Law offers a customized LLM degree that allows lawyers to earn an advanced law degree with a focus of their own choosing. LLM students will consult with counselors from the Office of Graduate and International Programs (OGIP) to identify the best combination of courses to fit their individual career or enrichment goals. Candidates for the LLM degree must have graduated with a JD degree from an accredited U.S. law school or a first degree in law from an accredited institution in a country outside the United States.
