In the Digital Film Design degree program, you will learn essential technical and creative skills that will enable you to create fascinating animation worlds. Starting with basic techniques such as typography and drawing, to the elementary tools of the trade with computer graphics and design, to sophisticated character design – these and many other exciting contents await you in the Film Design Bachelor's degree at mdh. The state-of-the-art equipment at the Mediadesign University supports your education with the most common design software. You start with Autodesk Maya, get to know After Effects and Nuke during compositing, and finally the 3D software Houdini is added. This allows you to familiarize yourself with the complex technology in a playful way. You will apply your new knowledge directly in practical exercises and projects. Similar to the real world of work, you and your team develop real film material and combine it with digital elements. In this way, you will not only learn how to implement digital productions, but also everything you need to know about the design, planning and implementation of real film projects. At the end of their studies, all our students will have enough material for their personal demo reel, which will put the finishing touches to their application portfolio.
