The Master of Science (M.Sc.) program in the Faculty of Health Sciences offers majors in Addictions Counselling, Health Sciences, and Nursing. Based on a cohort model, this program is designed to satisfy the needs of students interested in pursuing a master’s degree in a health-related area. Students come from a variety of health care backgrounds including, but not limited to, public health, therapeutic recreation, addictions counselling, nursing, and psychology. This program offers students the opportunity to earn a master’s degree by successfully completing required courses and by conducting research culminating in a thesis. Students are required to secure a potential supervisor prior to submitting an application for this program. For further information please visit our Search Supervisors page. The thesis forms the central requirement of the program which involves close collaboration between the supervisor and student; as a result it is important for students to be on campus to conduct research with their supervisor. Our M.Sc. programs are delivered on the Lethbridge campus only.
