This is a flexible degree that will allow you to fast-track your career in surveying and geospatial engineering. You will have the opportunity to diversify your expertise with courses in specialised spatial data collection, analysis and management. Broaden your skills base in a complementary area such as business and management, entrepreneurship and innovation, or design. Plus you can choose a major project that’s linked to industry or focused on design and research. The Master of Professional Engineering (Geospatial Engineering and Surveying) program offers students the opportunity to broaden their technical competence either in another discipline (such as disaster management, environmental management, sustainability, water engineering, safety and risk) or to deepen their competence in the program discipline (including advanced surveying, geodesy and geopositioning, GPS/GNSS technology, spatial data systems and information technology, geospatial analysis). The program may also be used to strengthen a student’s technical capacity based on any gaps in their prior knowledge, and to expose students to Australian practices in surveying, town planning, construction management, spatial information technology and engineering.
