Turn your love for animals into a rewarding career as a veterinary nurse or animal welfare worker with this qualification. Learn the skills to work effectively in a veterinary practice, providing care to a wide variety of animals, assisting with surgery preparation and procedures, performing pathology and imaging procedures, providing post surgery care and advice, and workplace safety and health. Throughout this course, you’ll benefit from access to an on-campus veterinary clinic, complete with surgery facilities. This clinic is open to staff, students and the public. The clinic provides an opportunity for you to participate in practical training and exposure to a range of animals with various medical and surgical conditions. This practical training will allow you to develop your skills and knowledge in a safe and supported environment and prepare you for industry placements.
