ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security): This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of information and communications technology (ICT) roles who have established specialised skills in a technical ICT function. Individuals in these roles handle moderately complex tasks independently, in teams, or as leaders, applying their skills across various industries and business functions, including as sole traders/contractors. This qualification equips individuals to manage, as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team, the installation of a range of networks, including internetworking, security and e-business integration. This course provides essential skills and knowledge to build and manage network systems in a business environment with an emphasis on developing practical skills using a hands-on approach. Areas of study include installation and administration of Linux/Microsoft operating systems, networking security, testing and project management.
