This degree gives the advanced knowledge required to solve future challenges in nutrition and health, food quality and safety. Through integrated subjects in food processing, quality assurance, food evaluation techniques and new product development, you’ll gain the cognitive, technical and critical thinking skills needed to analyse issues and articulate solutions. You’ll also access Western’s cutting-edge food pilot plant and commercial kitchen, and be given a chance to apply your newfound skills and knowledge to a professional research project. And because we know it can be hard to juggle study with your current work and life commitments, this degree offers you a balance of online and on-campus studies.
