This qualification equips you with the knowledge and skills to support children’s wellbeing and development within regulated early childhood education and care services. You will learn to assist in planning learning environments and experiences that promote the physical and emotional care of young children.The course includes 160 hours of practical experience in a regulated service, allowing you to apply your learning in real-world settings. You will work under guidance or independently, depending on the context, and be prepared for roles in long day care, family day care, preschools, or kindergartens.
