Australian City International College (ACIC)
This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously. On successful completion of the course, students will receive Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification. Graduates from this course will be able to perform the duties of Early Childhood Educator. Graduates will have entry level understanding of children’s development, health and safety of supervising children and ability to identify and respond to behavioral issues and provide emergency first aid response to children. Students may apply for recognition of existing qualifications or skills, knowledge and experience (credit transfer or recognition of prior learning). The granting of course credit may affect course fees, as well as the duration of the course.All students enrolled in this course must undertake 160 hours of work placement at an approved venue.
