Australian City International College (ACIC)
This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff. On successful completion of the course, students will receive Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification. Graduates from this course will be able to perform the duties of Early Childhood Educator. This includes ability to design and implement curriculum in early childhood education and care services, understanding of children development, ability to identify and respond to behavioral issues, knowledge to implement an approved framework within the requirement of the Education and Care Services National, Regulation and the National Quality Standard and supervise volunteers or other staff in early childhood education and care services. Students may apply for recognition of existing qualifications or skills, knowledge and experience (credit transfer or recognition of prior learning). The granting of course credit may affect course fees, as well as the duration of the course.
