Australian International College of Skills and Education (AICSE)
This qualification is for carpenters working in both residential and commercial settings. It covers tasks such as setting out, manufacturing, constructing, assembling, installing, and repairing products made from timber and other materials. Licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements may differ across states and territories, so it’s important to consult the relevant authorities to verify local regulations. Anyone involved in construction work must complete the general construction induction training program, as outlined in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work. Meeting this requirement is achieved through the CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry unit. This qualification is also suited for those pursuing an apprenticeship in Australia.
