The MSc Construction Project Management will teach students how to match design and production to the needs of the market for built space – an issue at the very core of the construction and property industries. They'll learn how to plan and control the allocation of resources and respond creatively to volatile economic conditions. Specific modules cover topics such as development economics and planning, applied project management, risk management, building integrated systems and technologies.This course will broaden strategic and management approaches to allow learners to respond to economic conditions. Moreover, it focuses on the presentation and communication of workable solutions to complex problems.In a typical week, students will have lectures, seminars, and workshops which may include critiques to discuss their work with colleagues and tutors. Visiting lecturers will also be made available in each term for specialist lectures, workshops and tutorials. Theory courses will be taught alongside other master's programmes to encourage subject crossover and multidisciplinary views. Students will also take part in shared or collaborative modules with learners on other built environment course, providing a perfect opportunity to develop skills in group and teamwork.
