This Engineering degree offers a broad multidisciplinary curriculum, combining core training in mechanical engineering and materials science with high tech digital skills. These include robotics, car design, aerospace engineering, control theory, sensing, 3d printing as well as programming. It builds on the success of our long history of education and world-leading research: our academics are at the forefront of innovations in low carbon energy, materials science, low carbon energy, powering space exploration.Studying an engineering course means you will be able to solve complex problems. The machines, tools, devices and systems you invent will improve the world and make our lives and our surroundings better – be that health, work, home life, recreation, and more.You’ll explore emerging technologies like digital design and artificial intelligence (AI), fusion energy and 3D printing. This is in addition to gaining fundamental knowledge of concepts and theories in materials, thermodynamics, mechanics, physics, chemistry, maths, and programming.
