As the accounting and financial reporting world becomes more globalized, University of Dundee concentrate on the developing international standards adopted by the key trading blocks. The technical content focuses on the international reporting practices adopted by every company listed on a stock exchange within the EU and many companies further afield. Dundee encourages students to recognize how financial information makes a contribution to society, and to consider where it might cause or inflate societal problems.
Dundee has close links with the accountancy profession, on a local, national and international level and across organizations of all sizes. Students benefit from the experience of practicing accountants, many of which are graduates of this degree, and understand their contemporary challenges through their insights and guest lectures.
