Course overview

Kickstart your engineering career with a Mechanical Engineering degree that prepares you for real-world challenges from day one. Study and work with industry using cutting-edge tools and technology, and learn how to create smart, sustainable solutions for the modern world. This hands-on course is built around the CDIO (Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate) approach, a globally recognised model developed by MIT, making your learning experience practical, immersive, and industry-focused from day one. You’ll interact with the simplest of things, such as nuts and bolts, as well as the most complex structures, such as gigantic machinery and the highly intricate human body. You'll do this in CCCU's STEM facility, the Verena Holmes building, where you'll be able to use extensive labs and technology, such as 3D printers, laser and plasma cutters to name just a few. From mastering the basics like nuts and bolts to solving major engineering problems, this course will help you to think, design, and work like a professional.
