Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences

In the Bachelor of Science - Health Sciences major at University of South Dakota, students will gain an interdisciplinary foundation in health care, including knowledge of a variety of health care fields and development of skills that are essential for quality patient care. Those who are unsure which health care profession interests them most. Through the health sciences major, students can choose an individualized pathway to a specific profession; this program offers close mentorship and advising to help students meet pre-professional program prerequisites in addition to the core health sciences courses. Whether they want to focus on health care studies, health care advancement, professional studies, public health studies, clinical informatics or research, they will find the classes and experiences they need to get a successful start to their future career or further education.
