On the MSc in International Business Management degree, students will study the fundamental aspects of business and management and its application in an international context. This includes current theory and acknowledged best practice in the areas of strategic analysis and formulation and the tools, concepts, frameworks and practice of operational management. Students will specialise in the contemporary disciplines of international strategy, financial management, marketing strategy, and operations management including the international supply chain, and recent innovations in this increasingly important aspect of business opportunity. Their study will include key concepts, mechanisms and issues in transnational commerce, with the third term focused upon applying this newly-found understanding into both a strategy investigation and a management report where students will uncover new business management insights in an area they are passionate about. To understand International Business Management effectively, students will also study the institutional structure of the international economy and examine how trade and financial flows are supported by international economic institutions. Throughout their studies, students will apply their learning to contemporary case studies in international business, exploring insights into numerous industries and evaluating the differences in the application and the applicability of these frameworks, models and concepts.
