Unique to the province of Ontario, the 2-year Motive Power Technician - Advanced Repair program gives you hands-on training in the assessment, maintenance and repair of cars, trucks and heavy equipment.The Diploma of Motive Power Technician – Advanced Repair is a technical program that equips students with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex vehicle and engine systems.The program covers advanced automotive technologies, engine performance, electrical and electronic systems, fuel systems, hydraulics, and drivetrain components. Students learn to use modern diagnostic tools and repair equipment to service cars, trucks, and heavy vehicles efficiently and safely.Graduates are prepared for careers as automotive service technicians, engine specialists, diagnostic technicians, maintenance supervisors, or service advisors in automotive, transportation, and equipment repair industries.
