Students majoring in computer science may choose between a bachelor of science and a bachelor of arts program. The two programs have the same computer science requirements, but different natural science and mathematics requirements. The bachelor of science degree requires a minimum of 24 credits in natural science and mathematics and is intended for students planning to pursue careers and/or graduate studies in science and engineering. The bachelor of arts degree has less natural science and mathematics requirements (a minimum of 15 credits), thus allowing students greater opportunity to develop breadth of knowledge in other disciplines such as the arts, humanities, social sciences, and busines
