The 1-year Sault College Personal Support Worker (PSW) program teaches you the skills to provide personal care for the elderly, the chronically ill and persons with accessibility challenges across many different settings.The Certificate in Personal Support Worker (PSW) program prepares students to provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals who need support due to aging, illness, or disability. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical placements, covering areas such as personal hygiene, mobility assistance, nutrition, communication, and infection control. Students learn to work effectively as part of a healthcare team in a variety of settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, and private homes.
