Studied in combination, Animation and Filmmaking provide you with an exciting opportunity to develop your creative abilities across a range of moving image practices, forms, and applications. You’ll cultivate your creative craft and digital skills through use of state-of-the-art software and facilities, supported by lecturers with years of industry experience. Animation at Worcester encompasses 2D traditional and digital animation as well as 3D CGI for animation and film. Students also gain skills in editing, sound, compositing, concept art and creative concept generation. The course thus aims to offer you the realistic prospect of graduating as a competent practitioner in all areas of this still developing discipline. Filmmaking offers opportunities to explore a broad range of film forms and cultures, including fiction and documentary forms and commercial and experimental production. You can specialise as you progress through the course and, if you wish, tailor your studies to focus on career specialisms including producing, directing, sound, cinematography, post-production, and visual effects.
