Given the incredibly high demand from companies for today’s computer science students, considering a major in Computer Science is a sound investment. Our undergraduate program is designed so no prior programming experience is necessary, as students will learn basic programming and how to write/understand code throughout their coursework. In this program, you’ll obtain a deep understanding of computers, the inner workings of software and the application of computer technology to real-world problems. At UTSA, you can earn a Computer Science degree with optional concentrations in Cloud and Systems, Cyber Security, Data Science, Software Engineering, or the highly specialized Cyber Operations track. Concentrations and tracks are declared after you’ve been admitted and have met with your academic advisor.
