Information technology has an impact on nearly every aspect of our lives, at home, at work and at play. As an information technology major at University of West Florida, students will develop the skills and mindset they need to solve problems where people and machines meet. This program emphasizes applied skills, including an internship, co-op and research capstone experience that will prepare students for success in the information technology workforce. Students will have opportunities for experiential learning and undergraduate research and benefit from the relationships with major software and hardware providers. The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology provides students with a firm grounding in cybersecurity, databases, networks, operating systems and programming principles.
