Course overview

This three‑year honours degree at the Streatham Campus (via the St Luke’s Campus in Exeter for nursing) is designed to equip you with the knowledge, clinical skills and professional attributes to register as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).You’ll build a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology and evidence‑informed nursing practice from year one, move into public, population and planetary health in year two, and by year three deepen your leadership, innovation and professional identity as a nurse working in adult care settings.Teaching is a mix of lectures, workshops, simulation in a clinical skills resource centre and large‑scale clinical placements (with around 50% of study time devoted to practice). The curriculum is centred around the university’s distinctive 7 Pillars of Learning (patient & public involvement; fundamental nursing care; evidence for practice; mental health; leadership & management; global health; ethics & professionalism).
