This three‑year honours degree (with optional four‑year variants including a professional placement or study abroad year) explores how and why animals behave as they do—across wild, domestic and captive settings.You’ll examine topics such as the evolutionary and ecological basis of behaviour, neuro‐physiological mechanisms, development of behaviour, individual variation and adaptation to past and present environments.he programme emphasises practical learning with extensive fieldwork in the UK and internationally, hands‑on data collection, analysis of behavioural data and the chance to tailor optional modules and undertake a substantial research project in your final year.Located at the scenic Penryn Campus in Cornwall, the course gives you both scientific rigour and real‑world experience, preparing you for careers in research, conservation, animal welfare, laboratory or field work—or for further study.
